Whatever this season is, I was tired of the dancing, judges, and contestants. I just couldn’t stand to watch Chloris Leachman. Nevertheless then along came Gilles Poet, Lil Kim, Ty Philologue, Melissa Rycroft, The Woz, Julianne’s sweetheart, Diet Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and some others that certainly didn’t excite me.

Who did I find to be the most interesting? Gilles Marini was the one I couldn’t wait to see. I discovered Gilles when I saw Sex and the City where he stood out among a cast of talented actors and actresses. Proving he’s no one-act wonder, Gilles shows his other talents on Dancing with the Stars. He heats up the ballroom with his dance moves. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said what a lot of female views were thinking – Gilles wife Carole is very lucky.

The big disappointment on the show was Denise Richards – she showed an almost total lack of both talent and personality. The Woz had the personality, but no talent. While Chuck Wicks put in 110% and stayed on the show week after week. I was not interested in watching Lil’ Kim, until I saw what an amazing dancer she turned out to be. Stepping up with great technicality, Derek Huff won me with his brilliant choreography. They were a team that showed talent as well as chemistry. That’s why I was very surprised when Lil’ Kim was knocked out of competition with four other couples still alive.

The final four, as I write, are Melissa and Tony, Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Shawn and Mark. Melissa came in shortly before the show when Jewel was injured. Melissa didn’t struggle too much for someone with such little prep time – she has training in ballet. Her performances have been close to perfection, earning her perfect scores in the last show. Even if you get a perfect score from the judges, you still risk being voted off the show. Just like Sabrina Bryan. She received a perfect score in another season and was eliminated early. The celeb dancer who has shown real progress is World Champion rodeo cowboy Ty Murry. Murry’s legion of follower’s proved to be a huge advantage. Ty has stayed on the show because of the thousands voting for him and his adorable personality. Shawn Johnson, gold medal winning gymnast, showed us that she can perform on the hard dance floor just as well as she can on a soft mat. Then there’s Gilles who has never danced a dance I didn’t enjoy.

Just which couple has the chops and the votes to win the judge’s hearts? One dancing duo will be sent home this week. Who will it be? After that the three last dance teams have a final dance-off. You know what I’ll be watching that evening. I hope it lives up to the best moments that have already happened this season and we get to see the best final yet!

Getting your Dancing with the Stars fix in high definition is the greatest way to do it I’ve found. After several friends kept harping on how much of a difference it made I finally gave in and purchased a hi-def television, and boy am I happy I did! What a difference! As a bonus, they offer digital phone service at flat rate pricing. The phone is very clear and I can call friends and family around the US and never have to pay long distance charges. If you are moving to an area that is covered by Comcast, or it is your local cable provider, I recommend calling them sooner rather than later to order their great services. And if you search on the web you can probably some sites that offer the latest Comcast Cable promotions and savings. Make sure you take a look at their Triple Play bundle that lets you get all three services for one incredibly low price.
