Whatever this season is, I was tired of the dancing, judges, and contestants. I just couldn’t stand to watch Chloris Leachman. Nevertheless then along came Gilles Poet, Lil Kim, Ty Philologue, Melissa Rycroft, The Woz, Julianne’s sweetheart, Diet Wicks, Denise Richards, Shawn Johnson, and some others that certainly didn’t excite me.

Who did I find to be the most interesting? Gilles Marini was the one I couldn’t wait to see. I discovered Gilles when I saw Sex and the City where he stood out among a cast of talented actors and actresses. Proving he’s no one-act wonder, Gilles shows his other talents on Dancing with the Stars. He heats up the ballroom with his dance moves. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said what a lot of female views were thinking – Gilles wife Carole is very lucky.

The big disappointment on the show was Denise Richards – she showed an almost total lack of both talent and personality. The Woz had the personality, but no talent. While Chuck Wicks put in 110% and stayed on the show week after week. I was not interested in watching Lil’ Kim, until I saw what an amazing dancer she turned out to be. Stepping up with great technicality, Derek Huff won me with his brilliant choreography. They were a team that showed talent as well as chemistry. That’s why I was very surprised when Lil’ Kim was knocked out of competition with four other couples still alive.

The final four, as I write, are Melissa and Tony, Ty and Chelsie, Gilles and Cheryl, Shawn and Mark. Melissa came in shortly before the show when Jewel was injured. Melissa didn’t struggle too much for someone with such little prep time – she has training in ballet. Her performances have been close to perfection, earning her perfect scores in the last show. Even if you get a perfect score from the judges, you still risk being voted off the show. Just like Sabrina Bryan. She received a perfect score in another season and was eliminated early. The celeb dancer who has shown real progress is World Champion rodeo cowboy Ty Murry. Murry’s legion of follower’s proved to be a huge advantage. Ty has stayed on the show because of the thousands voting for him and his adorable personality. Shawn Johnson, gold medal winning gymnast, showed us that she can perform on the hard dance floor just as well as she can on a soft mat. Then there’s Gilles who has never danced a dance I didn’t enjoy.

Just which couple has the chops and the votes to win the judge’s hearts? One dancing duo will be sent home this week. Who will it be? After that the three last dance teams have a final dance-off. You know what I’ll be watching that evening. I hope it lives up to the best moments that have already happened this season and we get to see the best final yet!

Legong dance is one of Wali dance which function to performance entertainment, historically this dance is develop in Keraton-keraton in Bali at 19 century the idea of this dance is starting when a prince from Sukawati ubud (gianyar regency) that had the illness hard dream and see two beautiful girls dancing with the graceful accompanied by the beautiful Gambelan. When the prince recovered from the illness, the dreams that he had are set in the repertory dance complete with the gamelan. The legong dance basically is a dance which has complicate structure in body, eyes movement. Legong came from the word “leg” which means the complicate movement from body, foot, hand and eyes. And gong means gambelan so legong is a dance in complicate movement body from the dancer which followed with the instrumental Gambelan which calls Gambelan Semar Pegulingan. Panji, the capital city of Goa holds this colorful procession . The riots of color , music dance, fancy parades all these things will at once attract your eyes. One of the major attraction of this event are the historic plays enacted by men only. Even the women characters are also played by the men dressed in colorful female attires. Many competitions, functions are organized and king Momo distributed the prizes to the winners. A great quantity of fenny is consumed during this festival.
